Stepping into the vibrant new workplace of Syneos Health in sunny Santa Monica, a harmonic mix of cool creativity and purposeful functionality collides. The global healthcare and research organization partnered with Revel Architecture & Design to bring a fresh and vibrant Californian aesthetic to life. Spacestor were excited to work with Revel to supply Railway Carriages, providing for small meetings and collaborative sessions, along with our versatile Portals range, including the Portals Quiet for focused work and the adaptable Portals Studio for diverse uses, designed to seamlessly integrate into this dynamic workspace.

Taking the surroundings as inspiration, Revel Architecture & Design has masterfully infused Syneos Health’s new space with a soothing California vibe, characterized by striking wall graphics, natural wood grains, and varying tones of blue. Original elements of the building have been preserved to retain its identity including an expansive timber roof pitch, large windows, and exposed red brick walls.

Innovative in design scheme, this trait transitions through to a collection of environments that foster creativity and collaboration, featuring a mix of zones that cater to the needs of a diverse workforce. From an energizing blue café area to naturally lit breakout spaces, tech-enabled height adjustable desks, and enclosed meeting rooms, each corner of the office is designed to invigorate, facilitate, and streamline the activities of its users.

“The project embraced the building’s architecture and blends exposed brick, exposed wood structure, a large exterior patio and vibrant wall graphics. To coordinate elements with Syneos’s branding, the Portals product was the perfect addition and solution for creating functional, enclosed spaces without taking away from the architecture”, says Sarah Devine, Managing Principal of  Revel Architecture & Design.    

Spacestor’s Portals Quiet furnishes the space with single user spaces where employees can go to focus in an acoustically secluded atmosphere. With endless possibilities for customization, the blue cladding with earthy toned upholstery and a custom glass manifestation chosen can transition single-user pods into the larger Portals Studio in a seamless run. Portals Studio was created with accessibility in mind, with an accessible door width, allowing for a full turning circle inside the pod and level access. This collection of Portals provides for a diverse workforce, whilst integrating beautifully into the design aesthetic in a fusion of user experience and design intent.

Syneos Health Communications, a key player in delivering integrated communications strategies, operates from a space that truly reflects their dynamic and collaborative spirit.
