Cool Workspaces
Hutch, a collection of passionate designers, engineers and artists, wanted to create a bespoke and fun workplace which would represent their brand as well as help them to attract the most in-demand tech talent London has to offer. They acquired a new space in London's tech hub of Shoreditch and employed AIS to design the space.
A comfortable and quirky front of house area welcomes guests into the space, where bold custom wall graphics combine with a palette of exposed brick and worn tan leather to create a relaxed vibe where guests and staff are invited to chill out. To further enhance a culture of transparency, this space merges into the staff breakout area and open plan kitchen. The two spaces can open up into a town hall space accommodating up to 60 people, allowing the Hutch team to hold seminars and events.
A sliding folding wall connects the front of house space to the main work area, containing a variety of flexible working spaces from open plan desking, to high bench tables with stool seating. Casual armchairs enable staff to hold impromptu meetings and quick collaboration.
Custom designed wall joinery houses additional casual seating so when it's time for a meeting, employees can pull out a stool and take a seat. When they're done, the stools slot back into the wall for tidy storage.
This fun and industrial look and feel is weaved right throughout the office, complimenting the Hutch brand personality whilst supporting the energetic and fast-paced nature of the business. This allows them to remain at the forefront of their industry, portraying their business as ready to take on the next generation of gaming creatives!
