A culmination of a four-year programme to redefine the workplace of the future for their employees and clients, Deloitte's new UK and North West Europe headquarters is a 270,000 sq ft space situated at 1 New Street Square in London, England.

Sketch Studios and ID:SR were tasked with the design for the global accounting firm's new space, developing solutions and a wide range of different work settings to suit each employee.

Part of the brief was to design a space which would allow employees to choose an appropriate work setting depending on the type of activity they were doing that day. Employees can now choose from a range of work settings - whether small and cosy or large and spacious. Furthermore, many of these settings are flexible and can be reconfigured for several purposes. Event spaces can become meeting spaces or social spaces for instance.

Workspace designers, Sketch Studios, have worked closely with several different suppliers, in many cases developing pioneering solutions to meet the project objectives. The project has achieved a BREEAM outstanding rating and WELL Gold Star, making it the largest office in the world to achieve these leading certifications for both being an exemplar green building as well as enhancing the wellbeing of its people.

With over 27,000 items of furniture and a 50% ratio of height adjustable desking, the programme has achieved an exceptional end user experience, particularly with the integration of technology into furniture elements, to maintain a clean and fluid aesthetic.

Deloitte's collaboration with Sketch Studios has resulted in the creation of a space that will generate many more collaborations across the business.
