Salone del Mobile, 2022
7th-12th June - the prodigious Milan Design Week was back in full force!
Milan continues to be at the centre of the interior design debate, as does Salone del Mobile in its preservation as a massive player in the changing world of design. More specifically the exhibition highlighted the return-to-workplace challenge that commercial interior designers are confronted with post-pandemic, whilst serving as a hub for solution-based creative content and a manifestation of countless opportunities.
Salone del Mobile was also the liberal host of our debuting ‘New Landscape for Work’ – Aeonica, developed in collaboration with Gensler as product design consultants. This simple and organic product is based on classic architectural forms which are internationally familiar yet completely new and fresh to the workplace.
“In creating Aeonica, we felt it important to go back to the essence of architecture and landscape architecture” – Phillippe Pare, Gensler
The new landscaping tool kit turned the heads of media outlets like Frame, AN Interior and The Architect's Newspaper – and attracted advocates of conventional architectural forms as well as the wild, playful design minds out there. It is simple, unclouded, yet fluid and flexible and most importantly, proactively reactive to the changing needs of workspaces today.
Milan was special and so is Aeonica – so, welcome to ‘The New Landscape for Work’.
