Espaces de travail sympa
Carman's Kitchen, an Australian food brand located in Melbourne, Australia has recently moved into their creative and dynamic offices.
The 5000 sqm state-of-the-art building echoes the wholesome and nourishing soul of the brand and is set across three levels. Complete with a breezy outdoor conservatory, a communal landscaped garden to promote walking meetings and a contemporary, open-plan kitchen that provides a gathering space for staff.
The existing space has been converted into a fully equipped gym, light-filled yoga studio, sleep retreat, phone booth and 'prep' room, where employees can enjoy some quiet time or use hairdressing and beauty tools to 'freshen up.' Furthermore, in order to achieve just the right balance of privacy and transparency, meeting rooms have been enclosed by glass in open spaces
With a nod towards residential design, a tactile material palette has been used, layered with lush greenery, local art pieces and a diverse collection of Carolyn's personal interior touches. Black metal glazed partitions and exposed concrete flooring provides a stunning contrast.
The public retail offering, adjoining café and striking ceiling plant installation welcomes visitors into the space. This cascading ceiling plant uniquely waterfalls from the first workspace level and was created by carving an opening in the ceiling to create a connection between the offices above, and the public space below, thus highlighting Carman's relationship to its community through every step of the design process.
