M & C Saatchi
The famous headquarters of the world's largest independent creative agency network in Soho, London, are built on the principle of minimal and simplistic design.
M&C Saatchi’s famous headquarters in Golden Square, in the heart of London’s Soho, amongst the art galleries and Scandinavian bakeries, is the centre of Britain’s advertising industry and one of the most creative spaces in the country. Since it was founded in 1995, M&C Saatchi has grown (and grown) into the largest Independent Creative Agency Network in the World, and we were pleased to help improve its working environment.
For this project we collaborated with Design & Build specialist Action Workspace to supply a black-clad Snugglestor with dark grey upholstery. M&C Saatchi was founded according to one core principle – brutal simplicity of thought – and we have also long believed in the simplicity and adaptability of good design. This Snugglestor was not recessed into a wall but rather used as a standalone feature, as a zone divider in the open-plan space. Not only can one relax inside of it, the way it’s used here also frames the spaces around it – demonstrating how a simple, modular unit like our Snugglestor can be adapted to all kinds of different needs.
Action Workspace’s Lisa Humphreys explains that M&C Saatchi “wanted to create casual meeting points throughout the office without compromising the open plan and transparent feel of the workspace: the Spacestor Snugglestor hits the mark perfectly by providing a comfortable, stylish and practical solution.”
