Californian based software development company Adobe are changing the world through digital experiences. A global leader in their industry, the organization’s focus is to empower everyone through design and immersive experiences, a vision which extends to customers and employees alike. Adobe’s new London workplace, located in Shoreditch, has been expertly designed by Gensler to reflect the fun and compelling quality of the software corporate.
A strong colorful identity marks the space from the outset, creating another sphere of immersive experience. A striking entrance and reception area features green partitioning, defining the space as a softly industrial but warming area to transition from the outside in. Floor-located waymarking to guide the user throughout the workplace is realized through brightly visible lines flowing seamlessly from space to space, giving clues as to the service and function of each area.
Spaces range from areas to collaborate, to enjoy a coffee, relax, focus or to connect to colleagues working remotely. A large tech-enabled presentation area is provided for whole team meetings and company updates. Spacestor worked with Gensler to provide a teal blue storage solution through their classic and efficient Storagewall product.
Deep teal blue walls and storage are constant throughout the space achieving an enduring foundation for defined colors and artistry to shine through. The representation of local street art in the painting of Shakespeare, originally by James Cochran, are a nod to local culture and the prevalence of stunning street murals in Shoreditch. Immaculate furnishings and acoustic treatments enhance the experience of the space through a mixture of materials and textures, as well as biophilia, local literature and curated ornament vignettes.
As well as an immersive and highly unique aesthetic, the workplace is highly functional and provides a huge choice for employees, whatever activities they are performing. With the increasing success of a mix of remote and hybrid, design schemes must now be particularly intentional in the spaces they provide ensuring they facilitate for the optimum productivity of a diverse workforce. Adobe’s new London workplace offers this, as well as clear signage, easy to follow navigation and acoustic sanctuaries for all employees to enjoy this visionary environment.
