Cool Workspaces
When your company is divided over three floors, you need inventive interior design that encourages a flow of staff throughout the building. Implement city landscapes, film sets and jungle-themed meeting rooms and you begin to uncover the spirit of Grupa Pracuj’s Polish head office.
Colliers International created a solution bursting with personality; feature meeting rooms, tributes to nature and artistic design to stimulate the mind. Launched in 2000, Grupa Pracuj is a recruitment company with clients in over 40 countries worldwide. They predominantly use SaaS models (software as a service), so it was essential that employees had ample collaborative workspaces to share ideas to better benefit their clients.
The brief specification was an office that leaves an imprint; on employees, clients and in promotional photography. To do this, each room had to draw the visitor back, negating the communication barrier often found over split-level offices.
Meeting rooms make reference to popular culture such as F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ Central Perk café seating area, Star Trek, Predator, a Parisian landscape and a boxing ring.
A further concept to promote staff fluidity was to put the main reception on the middle floor. This large multi-functional area is also used as a casual meeting space, with a large open space for events.
Whilst many rooms are playful, Colliers International still thought of those needing peace and quiet. Smaller ‘refuges’ were created in the nooks and crannies throughout the office.
To ground the space, a natural connection has been added. Solid wood doors, open brick walls and carpets that reflect natural elements such as grass, rock and water. The intention was to make an imprint and it’s evident that monkey lights and a punch bag will go a long way in leaving a lasting impression.
